- As a first step towards achieving the Mark, interested business associations
shall complete the self-assessment questionnaire that measures their readiness
to achieve the Mark. The self assessment is completed and submitted through the
Mark's website (www.kaabas.jo).
- After submitting the self assessment to the King Abdullah II Center for
Excellence, the Center studies the answers and sends a brief notification to
those who are ready to officially participate, or prepares a feedback report for
the business associations that need to work on certain areas related to the
criteria highlighting an action plan.
- The qualified business associations who proceed with the application prepare
answers to the criteria questions, and necessary support documents to be
submitted to the Center.
- The Board of Trustees appoints the members of the Approved Assessors' Panel
after passing the assessment training course.
- The assessment process is carried out by a team of assessors selected by the
Center from the Approved Assessors' Panel.
- Each assessor in the team evaluates the answers and attached documents
independently, and prepares an independent assessment report detailing the areas
for improvement, strengths and site visit issues. The assessor also reflects
their assessment findings in the independent scoring sheet.
- The assessment team meets to reach a consensus, and prepares a consensus
report detailing the areas of improvement, strengths and site visit issues. The
assessors also reflect their assessment findings in the consensus scoring sheet.
- The assessment team conducts the site visit assessment to collect evidence of
what has been included in the application and to generate a bigger picture of
the association being assessed.
- At the end of the assessment process, the assessment team prepares the final
report detailing the strengths and areas for improvement and reflects them in
the final scoring sheet.
- All reports prepared by the assessment team (independent, consensus and
final) are forwarded to the Center for review.
- The Center assigns an Assessment Committee to discuss the final results with
the Steering Committee.
- The Steering Committee raises its recommendations to the Board of Trustees
who determines the achievers of the Mark of "Best Practice".
- After announcing the results, each association participating in the Award
receives an assessment report based on the Award’s criteria clarifying its
strengths and areas for improvement, to help it achieve continuous improvement
on its performance.
